I had been online search for more organics products all day. Walgreens had a great sale on some products so I browsed a bit on the website. While searching for some good hair products, I found some very interesting lip balms. It seems now that there are a lot of products considered natural; including the lip balms. I am impressed because I remember way back when Chapstick and Carmex were all that I knew. I am so happy I started my all natural, organic journey! Now when I shop, I read labels to explore the ingredients before I buy.
Dr. Collins lip balm caught my eye because it was the only one of many that was considered “organic. I had never seen this brand before so I definitely wanted to give this one a try. The lip balm itself doesn’t look fancy at all. Just a black label on it and it has Dr. Collins on it; Bringing Smiles To Life. I purchased coconut and iced pear by the way. For both in particular, the ingredients read: Organic palm oil, beeswax, organic extra virgin olive oil, flavor, organic hemp seed oil, rosemary extract, vitamin E and an active ingredient SPF 15.
This balm is the perfect way to soothe and moisturize your lips. These balms are petroleum free and are made with the perfect combination of organic oils. For this reason, it seems that my lips absorb this balm a lot better. I find myself having to apply it a lot less compared to other balms brand like Burt’s Bees. The iced pear smells so amazing! I only chose it because it was not the typical cherry or vanilla. I prefer to use the coconut more because it’s not an overpowering smell. Unlike other balms with the exaggerated coconut scents and flavor, this one is super light. Its smells of natural coconut.
Priced at $1.19 at Walgreens, I would definitely advise anyone to consider this product. I know many people buy commercially but sometimes when I product is unheard of or underrated, it can turn out to be everything you have been looking for. Best online price right now for this balm is available at Amazon. See below:
