I have been seeing this lip balm in store for a while but I honestly used to think it was some overpriced ball of nothing. It wasn’t until recently I picked it up and actually read the label. 95% CERTIFIED ORGANIC is the first thing I saw and I was sold. I chose the sweet mint kind because they hold had the berry kind besides that. I’m not too fond of fruity lip balms.
The container is very neat. It’s shaped like a small egg with a finger impression on one side for a better grip. The top twists off, revealing the round shaped balm. Very creative to say the least but I’m not sure how I would feel with this in my pocket all day.
Applying this balm was silky smooth. It somewhat melts on contact with the lips. There is a feeling of refreshment when apply this sweet mint balm. It is not overpowering like other balms like that are bulked up with too much peppermint oil or menthol. This one contains the perfect amount of peppermint oil, not leaving the lips to feel like they are drying out.
There is a light sweet, mint flavor to this balm. The smell is light and creamy, not harsh. I pressed down pretty firm when I applied this and I smoothed it in. The moisture is even and doesn’t feel really heavy. I noticed that it doesn’t leave a high sheen or shine. This is a good thing for me because I like my lips to look moisturized but not like I have on lip balm; I like it to look natural.
