FACT: Did you know that clinical studies show reversal of gum diseases with Neem?
Thermaneem Organix Neem Toothpaste is a product that I found while browsing this wonderful herbal shop by named Nature’s Herb Garden! I was really impressed that organic toothpastes even exist. Just the thought of this toothpaste reminds me of tribal people mixing herbs in a wooden bowl, whipping up a good ol’ natural paste for brushing. I have only purchased one other natural toothpaste before but this was my first organic one. The natural one that I already have is my daily toothpaste so this Thermaneem Organix Neem Toothpaste would have to be packed with a surprise to out shine it.
WHATS INSIDE
I first noticed the wonderful things on the label of this toothpaste. It reads, gluten free, not tested on animals fluoride free, paraben free, sulfate free and its considered vegan. Based on the ingredients, there are super-critical extracts of grape seed, clove, neem leaf & bark, spearmint and peppermint. It also states that this toothpaste is suitable for diabetics and children.
BENEFITS OF NEEM
Neem is a kind of tree grown in India’s tropical regions. All parts of the tree are said to have medicinal properties (seeds, leaves, flowers and bark) and are used for preparing many different medical preparations (this tooth paste contains extract from the leaf and bark). Neem act as anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic, anti-fungal, anti-protozoal and anti-viral providing protection from all the microorganisms which are readily prepared to invade in our body causing serious ailments.
WHAT IS VEGAN-ISM
Veganism is the practice of eliminating the use of animal products. Ethical vegans reject the commodity status of animals and the use of animal products for any purpose, while dietary vegans or strict vegetarians eliminate them from their diet only. Another form, environmental veganism, rejects the use of animal products on the premise that the industrial practice is environmentally damaging and unsustainable.

USING THE PASTE
When I first used this toothpaste, I noticed the color. Its a beige/brown color and very pasty. The consistency is almost like peanut butter when it comes out. I put some on my toothbrush and I started to brush. The taste and smell was lightly refreshing. Just a bit in a minty way but mostly in a herbal way. I closed my eyes as a brushed and took deep breaths. It made me imagine that I was surround by green trees, plants, and grass. It was like a fresh breath of nature itself. I noticed that it didn’t foam up much like other toothpastes. Yet, I did realize that it didn’t contain all of those other ingredients. It did seem like I had to use a bit more paste to complete my brushing. My mouth felt fresh but not super fresh. The paste had effectively clean my mouth though. What I didn’t care for was that it left my toothbrush hairs kind of yellowish looking. I cleaned my toothbrush twice and it was definitely stained in. My mouth stayed fresh for the most part. I brushed again later and it was good.
CONCLUSION
Compared to my other natural toothpaste, this had a more natural, earthy state. However, I don’t think I could let Thermaneem Organix Neem Toothpaste replace my current one. I like the Thermaneem Organix Neem Toothpaste a lot but I don’t love it. I would recommend this to a Vegan friend or a friend who is trying to go completely organic.
